Pour it Out!

Longings. Desires. Passions. Sadness. Grief. We all go through these different emotions. The other day as I was feeling sad, the following verse came to mind:

Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Psalm 62:8

It felt like God was saying, "You don't have to stifle your sadness around me, pour it out before me, I am your safe place to do so." (Sigh), I felt like I could rest and let it all out...

Since then, this verse keeps cycling through my head with whatever emotion or concept I'm working through...Jesus keeps saying, "pour it out, pour it out!"

Thank-you gentle shepherd for holding our emotion, hearts, minds, and souls with such invitation and tenderness.

Tea Party

Last week Amy, Erin, and I had a tea party in Erin's sun room. We feel strongly that Luke should be raised in the presence of much femininity. At this tea session we taught him not to play games with girls hearts; it is just plain rude.
Some final snuggles with Erin before she leaves for Europe

Leaving Erin's boutique with a new wardrobe.

"I can't believe he treated you like that!"

Sampling a Luke-sized sandwich..num nums..
