Carrying on with my musty theme, here's a lovely verse from 1 Peter 1: 16-17 that I've been feeling cleansed by:
As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God's life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, "I am holy; you be holy." You call out to God for help and he helps--he's a good Father that way. But don't forget, he's also a responsible Father, and won't let you get by with sloppy living"
I have felt so refreshed to get to know this side of Papa who lovingly nudges and reminds me that my life has gotten sloppy in certain areas as of late. I suppose this is what others refer to when they talk about the Lord's discipline? Perhaps this is the same thing parents do with their kids when they start leaving dirty socks all over the house.
