Los Cabos II

Super glad that Luke loved the water...guess I'll be spending the next 10 years at the pool!

This lady loved Luke and got a w/ him on her cell phone.

Tortilla soup! One of my fav's...nice spice to it.

The Rocks are "Lands End" The end of the Baja peninsula

Fish tacos, fish tacos, fishy fishy fish tacos...con todo...

I sooo wish I could grow these at home.
I owe this trip to mis padres (parents) and Amy! Amy took the early shift with Luke everyday (5 or 6 am) and my mom often took him for the afternoons. I couldn't believe how much better my body functioned that week since I was able to rest more...my hip pain went away, my system started processing food better, my brain was able to think clearer, I was able to eat meals at Andrea-speed (which dono says is slow) it was great...ode to my amazing family!

Los Cabos I

Luke loved climbing up and down the in-water lounge chairs
RIU Santa Fe Resort

Windy!

Luke LOVED all the attention he got all week from grandma, grandpa, & auntie. Needless to say the following week at home he was Mr. grumpy-pants...no more constant attention.

Homemade Deodorant

It’s a cool March day. You come back into the house after shoveling a long path to the compost pile. The smell of Earl Grey tea welcomes you back inside. Or so you think…You learn that this gentle aroma is actually wafting from your wife’s armpits! She tells you she just made her own deodorant scented with Bergamot & Lavender and no longer has to stick tea bags in her pits for that earthy smell. You sigh, shake your head, and smile as you admit, once again, that you have married a home-making genius.

Amy & I got together to make our own brew of deodorants. So simple! It took us about 15 minutes. Ingredients: Shea butter, Cocoa butter, baking soda, vitamin E, and essential oils.

We microwaved & stirred the ingredients together. Next we added the Essential Oils and put it in the fridge until it hardened. When you apply it, you scrape it up (feels like hard lotion - next time we will add glycerin to make it softer), roll it into a ball and apply to your underarms. Very empowering.

Experimenting with scents seems a little difficult at this point, it's hard to know how many drops of each oil one should use. We made one brew of the "Earl Grey" scent & another brew of Sandalwood.

Gone are the days where women have to wear fruity-flowery smells in their underarms. The time has come to let your woody earthy smells boast of a new season…
