Feeling a lil' Stuck

The last two days have been somewhat low for me. I seem to be carrying around yesterday’s “I’m a bad wife & follower of Christ” guilt & tomorrows pressures “to get it right.” This means that today I feel disappointed in myself as I have an idea of how much more mature I should be which leaves me feeling slimy and heavy.

Bringing this to Jesus over the past two days has brought out some freeing Truths in which I am asking him to help me trust him in:

-My bad-feeling-self-conscious days do not define me
-I can approach his throne of grace to fall into His mercy ANY time I need (Heb 4:16)

Note: I think that I know better than God about how many times I can approach this throne of grace. With comments like, “you should have conquered that issue by now” I basically let God know I’ve had enough chances and am therefore not allowed to have any more mercy.

Thank-you Lord for confronting this untruth that I am usually unaware of. Often, I’m convinced that I get a limited amount of mercy because “I should know better & be more mature by now!”

Folks, I’m convinced change is most often slow & that fast changes are what we call miracles. The slow process of transformation seems to bid a deep, thorough, struggle-filled, and glorious journey.

And yet I declare that despite our weaknesses, “we are not among those who shrink back and so are lost, but among those who have faith and are saved” (Heb 10:39)

Nesting

We finally started taking prego pics. I'm not so good at journalling and keeping track of this whole process...

24 or 25 weeks pregnant. At the last ultra sound the technician thought I may be due a week earlier (May 22 instead of the 29th), but we'll wait for the final word from our midwife. The baby has been moving, punching, kicking a whole lot, very exciting!

These are pics of our newly organized basement. I should have taken a "before" pic b/c all this stuff was basically in piles covering the whole basement floor. Dono and Amy dedicated their saturday to organizing and labelling all our basement junk into clear containers. Best gift ever! I definitely married into the right family!
